Welcome to Bium(MZ)
In the last two decades, data analysis and statistical modeling has become a key technology within biomedical research. The availability of the human genome together with next-generation high-throughput sequencing technologies and high-throughput expression analyses have made automated, efficient computational approaches for these large amounts of data inevitable.
The Core Facility Bioinformatics of the University Medical Center Mainz supports biomedical reasearch with molecular data and provides an interface for bioinformatic expertise. In addition to the competent use of available tools, we provide a goal-oriented adaptation of existing bioinformatic techniques as well as develop new methodologies and customized strategies for data analysis and modeling.
